Explore the art of metalwork jewellery making in our hands-on workshop. In this creative activity, you will learn how to create your own unique, wax-carved ring using traditional techniques. Whether you're crafting a heartfelt gift for yourself or a loved one, this workshop offers a perfect blend of creativity and skill-building.
Our skilled instructors will guide you step-by-step through the process of wax carving. You will learn essential techniques such as precision carving, sculpting, and texturing, receiving personalised demonstrations and hands-on assistance to bring your unique ring to life.
You’ll have access to a variety of jeweller’s waxes and carving tools to explore different techniques:
  • Green hard wax – precision carving: Ideal for structured and detailed designs, this wax allows you to carve sharp edges and clean lines for a refined look.
  • Blue ring tube wax – flow and form: Perfect for organic and flowing designs, this wax can be manipulated directly on the ring bar to create natural, fluid shapes.
  • Red soft wax – texture and expression: For those who love texture and freeform designs, this wax is easy to mould by hand, allowing for unique surface patterns and sculptural effects.
The workshop includes:
  • Materials and tools: Basic wax materials and professional-grade tools are provided, including ring tubes, carving knives, and heated wax pens. You are welcome to bring your own gemstone to incorporate into your design.
  • Finishing touches: Once your wax model is complete, we’ll handle the professional silver casting, polishing, and refining. Your finished piece will be ready for pickup or delivery in 10–15 days, elegantly packaged and perfect as a personal keepsake or a thoughtful gift.
You will leave this session with new skills and the satisfaction of having designed a beautiful piece of jewellery, which will soon be transformed into a polished silver ring for you to treasure forever.

What to bring
You are welcome to bring your own gemstones to set into your ring! We’ve got all the safety gear you’ll need covered: aprons, protective goggles (for adults, kids, and even over glasses), finger protectors, shoe covers, and more. Safety tips are displayed around the studio, and before every workshop, our instructor will give a quick safety briefing so you can enjoy your experience worry-free.
