Hi! We’re the team behind Chá-Fé x Art, a cozy, community-driven art and fashion program hosted inside Chá-Fé—a charming neighborhood coffee shop filled with cute Asian-inspired decor and warm energy. Our mission is simple: to create a welcoming space where art, culture, and community come together.
We got started because we saw a need—not just for a space to enjoy good coffee or beautiful art, but for connection. Many talented local artists and small art businesses don’t always have a platform to share their work. We wanted to change that. So we partnered with Chá-Fé, a beloved local café known for celebrating coffee and Asian tea culture, to create something unique: weekly workshops that blend creativity, culture, and community.
From watercolour painting, ink painting to Chinese calligraphy, South African coffee-themed gouache painting, and even artisanal cake decorating, our events are as diverse and flavourful as our neighbourhood. Every class is designed to make art more approachable and joyful, no matter your skill level.
Why do we love teaching?
We believe that the moment we are creating is also the moment we can find peace and love in our hearts. There’s something magical about watching someone pick up a brush or pen for the first time in years—and fall in love with creating again. We believe everyone is creative, and our goal is to spark that confidence in each person who walks through our doors. Whether it’s their first class or their fiftieth, seeing that "aha!" moment never gets old.
We’re not just about paint and paper—we’re about people. Art should be fun, healing, and accessible. That’s what Chá-Fé x Art is all about.
Whether you’re looking to unwind after a long week, meet new friends, or try something totally new, we’d love to welcome you to one of our workshops. Come sip, create, and connect with us.
