What you'll do

Make your Christmas list a little easier this year at this handmade gift hamper workshop in South London. You'll create five bath, body or skincare gifts, then wrap them beautifully at our festive gift-wrapping station. It's a lovely alternative to battling the shops, and you can leave the washing-up to us.

We'll provide the ingredients, materials and guidance, along with refreshments and a cosy spot to sit and wrap everything up afterwards. All you need to decide is who you're making for, or whether you're keeping a few for yourself.

Choose your Pamper Hamper:

Reset & Rituals: little luxuries for slowing down and soaking. Includes a bath tea and mineral soak, body scrub, hair oil (30 ml), pulse-point oil, and cuticle oil (10 ml)
Winter Glow: natural luxuries for happy skin through the colder months. Includes a whipped body butter, face scrub, face serum (30 ml), perfume oil, and lip balm

Your ticket covers one complete collection of five products. If your gift list is longer, you can add extra quantities of any product, or a second full set. You can add these up to one week before the workshop, so there's no need to plan everything today.

Our workshop is deliberately casual. Whether you come alone or with a friend, you're likely to leave with some new connections and a little breathing space from the Christmas rush.

Please note: the workshop is shared with two friendly dogs who love to greet arrivals, so expect a warm welcome. If you have allergies or are uncomfortable around dogs, please get in touch before booking so we can talk through the setup.

Knowledge required

Absolutely none! Everything is beginner-friendly, and we'll guide you through each creation.

You don't need to consider yourself crafty or creative. Just come along, enjoy trying something new and see what you can make.

What to bring

Just yourself, and perhaps a few ideas about who you're making gifts for.

We'll provide all the ingredients, equipment and materials. You might want to wear something comfortable that you don't mind getting a little crafty in... but we have aprons!

If you wear reading glasses for close-up work, they're worth bringing along.

FAQ

Can I make more than 1 hamper/five products?

Absolutely! Your ticket includes the five products from your chosen collection, but you can add additional quantities of individual products or a complete extra collection.

Do I need to decide who I'm making gifts for before booking?

Not at all. Book your place now, and we'll send you the extra-gifting options giving you time to think through your gift list.

Can I split my collection into individual gifts?

Of course. You can wrap everything together as a hamper, create smaller combinations or package each product individually. That's what our wrapping station is for.

Can I book both collections?

Yes! They're different enough that you can enjoy both experiences, and you'll leave with ten different products to keep or give away.

Can I stay longer than the scheduled workshop?

We allow an hour for gift wrapping and finishing touches, and you're welcome to linger afterwards while the Garden Room remains open. We just ask that you finish the guided making during the workshop portion so we can prepare for the next group.

Are the dogs always around?

They live here, so you should expect to meet them! They're friendly but can be vocal when guests arrive. Please contact us before booking if you have allergies or concerns about dogs.

Can you accommodate allergies or sensitivities?

Generally yes. If you have any concerns or questions please get in touch before booking to discuss further. We use botanical ingredients, carrier oils and, where appropriate, essential oils, so we'll need to check whether the planned formulations are suitable for you.

Mitcham is a wonderfully unknown corner of South London. We are easily accessible via Thameslink and Southern train services to Mitcham Eastfields station, or the Northern Line to Tooting Bec and a short bus ride down the road.

Your teacher can also travel within 15 miles of Mitcham, to a venue of your choice for a private class.
