Q: Is there any free parking available?
Free on-street parking is available on Carlyon Road, just a few minutes’ walk from the studio, on weekends and non-event days. Alternatively, paid parking is available at Alperton Sainsbury’s (opposite the studio) via YourParkingSpace.
Q: What size will my finished rug be?
Roughly 40 x 40 cm, depending on the design. Just the right size to complete in one session.
Q: Do I need to bring anything to the session?
Nope, please just send us your design 48 hours before your session, and we’ll prepare everything for you. On the day, just show up, relax, and enjoy.
Q: How long does the workshop take?
Most students complete their rugs in 2-3 hours, but the session itself is 3.5 hours. We never rush the creative process, it's your time to learn and enjoy!
Q: What ages is this class suitable for?
A: Adults & 10+ years. An adult must accompany any attending kids (the adult may observe for free).

Send us your own design at least 48 hours before your session, and we’ll have it ready for you when you arrive. Don’t have something in mind? No worries! We’ve got loads of inspiring ideas and ready-made patterns for you to pick from. All you need to do is turn up, we’ll prep everything so you can dive straight into the fun.
All About Tufting
We’ll kick things off with a quick, easy-to-follow intro where you’ll get hands-on with the tufting gun, fabric, and yarn choices. Our friendly team will walk you through the essentials step by step so even if you’re a complete beginner, you’ll feel confident and ready to go.
Let's Get Tufting
Now for the best bit, tufting! With some relaxing music playing in the background, you’ll get into the flow of filling your canvas with colourful yarns. Think of it like a colouring book, but instead of pencils, you’re painting with yarn. It’s playful, therapeutic, and surprisingly addictive.
Finishing Touches
Once your design is complete, we’ll guide you through the finishing process: trimming, gluing, and adding a soft fabric backing. You’ll even get to shave your rug for that sleek, professional finish. This is where your piece really comes to life as a rug you’ll be proud to show off.
Take Your Rug Home
At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a rug you made yourself, a piece filled with meaning and memories. Many of our students create rugs as birthday keepsakes, hen-do mementos, or heartfelt gifts for loved ones (and even pets!).
