Looking for fun things to do? Why not discover a new hobby with this enjoyable embroidery class?
You may recognise this type of embroidery from your Grandma's home in the 60s – now it's back! Well, actually, it never really left. Bargello is a unique form of embroidery as it involves specific stitches and patterns.
During this embroidery class in London, you will be introduced to the typical 'vertical' stitch used throughout all bargello, and then you'll be shown step-by-step how to stitch geometric patterns.
Suitable for beginners, with the support of your expert teacher, you'll be stitching in no time! You can choose to stitch one of your teacher's patterns or your own design.
Bargello can be used on normal fabric-like needlepoint fabric but in this sewing class you will be using a plastic canvas so that you can turn your bargello design into coasters – or, you can create a pencil holder, plant pot or even a tissue box cover.
By the end of the class, you'll have your own bargello embroidered piece to take home with you, along with the sewing skills you need to continue this form of embroidery independently.
What you'll get
4 bargello embroidered coasters, or a plant pot to take away.

I’m Jane and I am 100% passionate about crafting – you name it, I have most probably tried it. I set up Tea and Crafting, a bricks and mortar workshop venue in Covent Garden, in 2009, as I wanted to share my love of all things crafty and show people how, that a lot of these crafts are easier to learn than you think, without the need to commit to a six-week course that can be difficult to fit into a busy lifestyle. I wanted to provide affordable classes that were effortless and fun to attend.
I believe that anyone and everyone can craft and that you don't need to be exceptional at a craft for it to have enormous positive effects on well being. Alongside a team of expert crafters I am proud to still be passing on these crafty skills 12 years later!
