Zine-Making Workshop

Create something unique through collage and printing in this beginner-friendly zine making workshop.

2 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests       £12

Join this zine-making workshop in Southend-on-Sea and enjoy a creative two-hour session exploring the playful possibilities of collage and monoprinting. Zines are wonderful, self-made publications that allow you to combine personal expression with striking imagery and text, and they’re the perfect low-pressure medium for first-timers.
You'll be guided through the hands-on process of crafting your own unique publication using carbon paper, old magazines, and collage techniques. This workshop is designed to be slow and mindful, offering you a friendly space to experiment and play with different textures and layouts. There’s no need to worry about perfection here – it's all about the joy of making and finding your own creative spark.
Your teacher will provide all the materials you need, so you can simply show up and start creating. You'll finish the session with a beautiful handmade zine to take home, along with a fresh set of skills that will keep you inspired to continue your self-publishing projects long after the class.
Please note the venue isn't wheelchair accessible.

I’m Gabi, an artist, educator, and the founder of Apple Tree Attic.
For me, Apple Tree Attic is a love letter to maximalists and storytellers; a space for handcrafted ceramics, prints, and objects rooted in imagination and narrative.
The workshops are a natural extension of that. I create welcoming, hands-on sessions where you can explore creativity, learn new skills, and make something meaningful of your own.
All workshops are led by me.
I’ve spent over 12 years teaching across mixed media, photography, printmaking, and ceramics, working with charities, councils, and arts organisations. Much of my work has focused on inclusive practice, including delivering sessions for SEND groups.
