Wheel Throwing Taster Workshop

Have a go at throwing on the wheel in this 2-hour pottery class, open to adults and young people aged 12 and over.You'll start by watching a demonstration from your teacher, who'll walk you through the key techniques – how to "centre" your clay and "pull" up the walls of your pot – along with an introduction to the different tools and what they're used for. Then it's over to you: settle in at your own wheel and have a go at throwing a cylinder, mirroring the techniques you've just seen.Your best pot from the session is included in the price, and we'll take care of the glazing and firing for you, ready for you to collect once it's finished.Please note: all classes are refundable up until 28 days before the course starts. After that, we may be able to reschedule you instead, and from 14 days prior, courses become non-refundable. As a small pottery studio running courses at capacity, our teachers and materials are organised in advance based on the number of participants booked in.
