Join this two-session jewellery making course in London and learn how to design and create a unique silver pendant using the traditional art of wax carving. You don't need any previous experience to take part – just a curiosity to try something new and a desire to create a piece that is uniquely yours.
Across two relaxed sessions, you'll be guided through every step of the process. During the first session, you'll get hands-on with the wax, carving it into your chosen shape while learning how the casting process works. Your design will then be professionally cast in silver, ready for your second session where you'll learn to file and polish your pendant to a professional finish. You'll even add a bail and a chain so it's ready to wear immediately.
The studio provides all the tools and wax you need, and you'll have an expert helping hand whenever you need it to ensure you feel confident throughout. It's a wonderful way to switch off from the daily grind and focus on a new skill in a friendly, supportive environment.
  • Session one: Learn about the wax casting process, design your pendant, and carve your design from wax.
  • Session two: File and polish your silver pendant, add a bail, and place it on a chain.
By the end of the second session, you'll have experienced the rewarding process of seeing a design move from a simple block of wax to a shimmering silver accessory. You'll head home with a beautiful, handmade keepsake and a sense of pride in your new-found abilities.
Please note: The cost of silver casting is not included in the class fee and will be calculated on the day based on the weight of your design. For reference, a piece similar in size to the 'E' in the listing photos would cost approximately £50 to cast. This can be tailored to suit your specific budget.

Saturdays: 6th & 13th June, 10am - 1pm
Saturdays: 4th & 11th July, 10am - 1pm
Wednesdays: 15th & 22nd July, 6pm - 9pm

What to bring
Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear shoes that cover your toes. Please tie up long hair. If you need reading glasses- please bring them

We are on North Road - nearest tube station is Caledonian Road on the Piccadilly line. Nearest bus stops are Pleasance Theatre or Holloway Delivery Office.
Is there a parking?
You can park on North Road - but there is a charge, so do check the signs.
Do I need any experience?
Nope! This is perfect if you have never tried this before.

Yes! But they cannot participate in the wax carving and you must both be on your best behaviour. ☺️
