A full palette, stencils if you want them, and a patient teacher beside you throughout. Small group sizes mean actual attention — not just a demo and good luck.

Worth the wait.

Worth the Wait

I glaze and fire your piece and comes home with you after 10-14 days. Something handmade, personal, and better than anything you'd find in a shop.

Pick up a brush. Make something you'll actually keep. Edinburgh's favourite pottery painting night, perfect for day outs, birthdays, date nights & hen dos.
Two hours, a blank ceramic, and zero pressure. This Edinburgh pottery painting workshop is the kind of afternoon you'll still be talking about when the piece is sitting on your shelf.
Choose your canvas from a curated selection of handmade ceramics: a mug, a plate, a cup, a travel cup or a jewellery dish. One piece is included in your session price and if inspiration strikes halfway through, extra pieces are available to add on.
Your teacher Charlotte has been doing ceramics for five years and has done workshops in Porto and Edinburgh, walks you through painting techniques from the very first stroke. No experience needed, no artistic confidence required. The atmosphere is relaxed and social, the materials are all sorted, and the only goal is to enjoy making something with your hands for a couple of hours.
What you'll take home: a glazed, fired, fully finished ceramic. Uniquely yours, ready to use or display. Your piece will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired, then ready to collect in 12–16 days. Worth the wait.

Hi, I'm Charlotte, clay-obsessed, self-taught, and six years deep into a love affair with ceramics! I fell into ceramics during the pandemic and never looked back (my hands have never been the same, in the best way).
There's nothing quite like the moment a wobbly lump of clay turns into something real on a pottery wheel. It's messy, meditative, and ridiculously fun, which is exactly why my wheel throwing classes make such a brilliant date night idea in Edinburgh. Trade the usual dinner-and-a-movie for clay under your nails, a few giggles, and a one-of-a-kind creation to take home (bonus points if it's a little wonky).
I taught pottery classes in Porto before swapping it for Edinburgh, where I've just opened my new ceramics studio. Whether you're booking a romantic date night, a fun activity with friends, or a solo creative escape, I'll guide you through beginner-friendly wheel throwing in a relaxed, no-pressure space.
