Bring a friend, lover, or loved one to make your very own Valentine's decorations and papers at this fun experience.We'll build up your marbling skills gradually, starting with flat wooden heart-shaped decorations, then building up to learning how to marble your paper, including how to make hearts and flowers in your marbling water.If you love playing with paint or getting creative, this workshop is for you. Marbling is one of the most rewarding and fun crafts out there – plus it’s virtually impossible to do it ‘wrong’!Contemporary paper marbler Lucy McGrath will demonstrate various techniques and talk you through how to recreate them yourself, providing all the tools, equipment, and materials you might need to get really experimental.Marbling is great fun but messy, so make sure you wear old clothes (and shoes)! You don’t need to bring anything except a healthy dose of creativity. We'll also be providing special Valentine's chocolates, a tipple of prosecco, and soft drinks!

Marmor Paperie was launched in 2015 with the hope of breathing a new life into the art of paper marbling. Seeing shops saturated with mass-produced products, we wanted to herald a return to quality workmanship and give people back the joy of owning something truly special.We were awarded the Arts Society/Cockpit Arts Award in 2016, providing us with incredible tailored business support to help us grow, as well as funding our studio at craft incubator Cockpit Arts for a year.Paper marbling is an old and beautiful technique. We use bold, fresh colours and fluid patterns to add a contemporary character. If you are interested in learning, we hold regular workshops but, be warned, it’s highly addictive!
