Umber Works is a neighbourhood gathering place devoted to clay as a material and mindful practice — a small studio offering relaxed, beginner-friendly classes. Our atmosphere is informal, supportive, and unhurried — a space for slow, embodied making, grounded in ancient practices, that feels calm, open, and easy to step into. The studio shifts with the light — soft and open by morning, candlelit by evening. People settle in, working at their own pace. Conversation comes and goes — somewhere between visiting a friend’s studio and a shared creative ritual. From longer, immersive courses to gentle family sessions and candlelit evenings, the rhythm of the studio is reflected in the way we gather.
