What you'll do
Fancy trying your hand at something completely new? On the hunt for creative things to do in Glasgow? Come along to this fun two-day stained glass workshop and try your hand at making your very own eye-catching creation!
New to the fascinating art form that is stained glass? This two-day workshop is ideal for beginners as it aims to give you an in-depth introduction to this wonderful ancient craft as well as giving you the time and space to create something of your own.
At this stained glass course, you will design and create a stained glass panel (40cm x 40cm).
During the first day, you'll be given an introduction to the world of this ancient DIY craft before getting hands-on with your own design. This first day will consist of designing, cutting and then painting the glass.
On the second day, you'll learn how to do the leadwork, soldering, cementing, and then brushing and polishing the glass. Finally, at the end of the second day, you'll fit the chain and will be able to take your stained glass panel away with you.
In this stained-glass workshop, we also cover all of the basics, which includes:
- Designs
- Glass cutting
- Glass painting
- Leadwork
- Soldering
- Cementing
- Brushing and polishing glass etc.
If you feel like unleashing your creativity, trying something new and making something beautiful - you've come to the right place! Learn from a talented artist and stained
Please note:
- This glass fusing workshop is kept small to make sure it's easy to give everyone as much input as is required.
- There is a 2m gap between all work-stations, to help maintain social distancing.
- We also provide visors (or you can wear your own mask), and there will be plenty of hand sanitiser available.
- All equipment and materials are disinfected before the start of each day.

Hi! I am a professional stained glass artist. Initially, I worked in traditional stained glass – commissioned to create new designs and also stained glass restoration work.
As I love everything about art & glass, I branched out into glass fusion! This is basically fusing glass together in a special kiln, which can create beautiful pieces of art.
Not only do I love creating my own art, but I also love sharing it with others.
