Learn how to fuse glass at this fun-filled workshop!

3 hours Class size 1 to 4 (public classes), 1 to 12 label £200

Wondering what to do this weekend in Glasgow? Come along and get those creative juices flowing at this fun and relaxing glass fusion workshop!

New to glass fusing? Glass fusion is simply the process of stacking two or more layers of compatible glass together to make a design. The stacked glass is placed in the superheated environment of a kiln where it melts together.

This fun DIY craft can be used to produce a variety of objects and the design is only limited by your imagination! Plus, the act of unleashing your creativity on your fused glass design is a wonderful way to express yourself as well as relax and recharge.

This one-day glass fusing course is designed to give complete beginners a fun introduction to a new skill, and allow you the time to get hands-on with a larger piece of work. You'll learn step-by-step how to create a stunning fused glass piece with the help of artist and fused glass expert, Cass.

At the end of this fused glass workshop, you will have created a glass bowl, wall hanging or large eye-catching wave (approx 30cm x 30cm). This will then be kept to be fired overnight but will be available to pick up the next day (or you can arrange for it to be posted to you).

Please note:

  • This glass fusing workshop is kept small to make sure it's easy to give everyone as much input as is required.
  • There is a 2m gap between all work-stations, to help maintain social distancing.
  • We also provide visors (or you can wear your own mask), and there will be plenty of hand sanitiser available.
  • All equipment and materials are disinfected before the start of each day.

Hi! I am a professional stained glass artist. Initially, I worked in traditional stained glass – commissioned to create new designs and also stained glass restoration work.
As I love everything about art & glass, I branched out into glass fusion! This is basically fusing glass together in a special kiln, which can create beautiful pieces of art.
Not only do I love creating my own art, but I also love sharing it with others.
Come along to one of my workshops and discover why I love glass fusion so much!

I bought this for my mums retirement present.

She absolutely loved the class but said it was difficult but she was happy with the out come off her piece. She said the teacher was lovely and very knowledgeable and would like to pursue a further class.

My personal dissapointment but maybe this was due tonthe website booked stayed my mum could pick a bowl, wall hanging or wave. My mum said she didn't get the option of all of these but she was happy with her choice.

In the end she was elated with her good the class was and that she was also interested in the stained glass class too!

Many thanks for giving my mum a little nudge to be adventurous in her retirement.
