6 hours Class size 1 to 12     label £180

Wondering what to do this weekend in Glasgow? Come along and get those creative juices flowing at this fun and relaxing glass fusion workshop!

New to glass fusing? Glass fusion is simply the process of stacking two or more layers of compatible glass together to make a design. The stacked glass is placed in the superheated environment of a kiln where it melts together.

This fun DIY craft can be used to produce a variety of objects and the design is only limited by your imagination! Plus, the act of unleashing your creativity on your fused glass design is a wonderful way to express yourself as well as relax and recharge.

This one-day glass fusing course is designed to give complete beginners a fun introduction to a new skill, and allow you the time to get hands-on with a larger piece of work. You'll learn step-by-step how to create a stunning fused glass piece with the help of artist and fused glass expert, Cass.

At the end of this fused glass workshop, you will have created a glass bowl, wall hanging or large eye-catching wave (approx 30cm x 30cm). This will then be kept to be fired overnight but will be available to pick up the next day (or you can arrange for it to be posted to you).

Hi! I am a professional stained glass artist. Initially, I worked in traditional stained glass – commissioned to create new designs and also stained glass restoration work. As I love everything about art and glass, I branched out into glass fusion! This is basically fusing glass together in a special kiln, which can create beautiful pieces of art. Not only do I love creating my own art, but I also love sharing it with others!
