What you'll do

Tunisian (or Afghan) crochet is considered a mixture of knitting and crochet, although you don't need any experience of either to learn this craft.

This online crochet class is suitable for complete beginners who have never knitted or crocheted before. If you already knit or crochet and would like to diversify your skillset, it's also a great craft class for you.

In this crochet class, you'll learn how to complete Tunisian crochet in rows.

By the end of your workshop, you will:

Have learnt the basic terminology of this craft, including the forward pass and return pass.
Know which specialised equipment is needed for Tunisian crochet and how to use these tools to create great results.
Understand how your hook size, tension, and yarn weight affects the outcome of your finished piece.
Be able to cast a foundation chain and complete the first-row forward pass (using the simple stitch).
Successfully complete the return pass, and continue in rows using the simple stitch.

You may also:

Complete or observe the method of the Tunisian knit stitch.
Learn how to cast (bind) off and finish your piece.
