Make something with your hands every Thursday at this weekly tufting workshop – a relaxed, affordable session where you'll learn the craft of rug tufting and leave with a finished mini rug of your very own.
Whether it's your first time picking up a tufting gun or you're back to make another piece, the format is the same: friendly guidance, smaller group sizes, and a warm, creative atmosphere that makes the whole process feel genuinely enjoyable. You'll learn how to use a tufting machine safely and confidently, then work through your own custom design on a 60x60cm frame from start to finish – with support on hand throughout.
It's a brilliant midweek activity whether you're coming solo, with a friend, or looking for a date night with a difference. All materials and equipment are included, and special Thursday pricing makes it easy to come back week after week.
Your finished rug will be shaved and completed in the studio before you take it home – a one-of-a-kind handmade piece that's entirely the product of your own creativity.

The Story of Artventurous: From Rug Making to Connecting London Through Creativity
It all started as a hobby—rug making was my way of unwinding, experimenting with textures and colours. But what began as a personal passion soon turned into something more when friends started asking where they could get one of my rugs. I thought, “Why not turn this into a business?” So, I set up an online shop, and before I knew it, my rugs started gaining a following.
As my business grew, I realised I wanted to do more than just sell. I wanted to connect people. That’s when I opened my tufting studio and decided to call it Puns and Rugs—because, let's face it, I tuft funny phrases on my rugs! Picture stepping into a room and seeing a rug that says, “Dramatic Exit ->”. It’s all about blending creativity with humour, and who doesn’t love a good pun?
But it’s not just about rugs—I wanted to create a space where Londoners could come together and share in the joy of making things. That’s why I started offering workshops, from rug making to jewellery design and bag charm crafting. It’s about teaching skills, yes, but also about building connections and creating something meaningful together. It is Artventurous.
What most people don’t know is that I used to teach arts and crafts before launching my business. I enjoy helping people tap into their own creativity, whether it’s through rug making, jewellery crafting, or painting. There were definitely moments of doubt, but I kept going because I knew this journey was about more than just creating art—it was about bringing people together through creativity and laughter.
I’ve been honing my craft for several years now, and while I don’t have decades of experience, I’ve certainly learned a lot along the way. What started as a simple hobby quickly turned into a full-time business, and that hands-on experience has taught me more than any classroom could.
