What you'll do
Don’t miss the beauty of Miniature Art, a great experience of creating art with micro-details with the artist Sema Yurtseven. Make a lovely animal horse, Arnavutkoy Mansions in Istanbul, or Aphrodite.
This 2.5-hour workshop aims to introduce you to Traditional Turkish Miniature Art and enable you to create your postcard through this art.
All artworks are Sema Yurtseven’s design. She has been doing illumination and miniature art for mode than two decades. You can see her artworks in our website. The artist will guide you throughout the workshop.
You will choose one of three artworks and draw it onto your postcard using carbon paper. Then, you will unleash your artistic taste and colour it as you wish using magnifying glass!
During the workshop, you will complete one postcard. You may keep it or give it to your loved ones as a present! We will provide all the materials, including 10 x 15 cm postcards.
Please note:
- Due to the limited availability, we regret to inform you that refunds cannot be made. For any inquiries, including cancelling the booking, please send us a message.
- Some micro-details you see in the artwork may be removed for beginners.
- There will be a translator from Turkish to English during the workshop.
- You do not have to bring any materials.
- We recommend you bring a folder to put your artwork.

TTA (Traditional Turkish Arts Platform) aims to introduce and teach following arts: Ebru (paper marbling), Tezhib (Illumination), Hat (Calligraphy), Cini (Turkish Tile), Miniature through private and group workshops in its Studio 115.
TTA creates to showcase and promote Traditional Turkish Arts as part of the broader field of Turko-Islamic arts by bringing together a diverse group of artists. A melange of Islamic art and Turkish heritage and origins, including ancient Mesopotamia, the Dardanelles, the Bosporus, and Rumelia, provide sources of inspiration for the artists.
TTA is the first and only platform where art lovers can comprehensively learn and be informed on all traditional arts. TTA is a London-based platform established under the company Elm Art Investments in 2021 by Marbling Art Artist Dilara Karaagac.
