Discover the serene art of Chinese tea in this guided tasting workshop at Amitabha Garden, set in a peaceful upstairs studio overlooking the Thames. You'll taste a variety of premium Chinese teas as your guide talks you through the culture, craft and philosophy behind each brew, exploring the ritual and appreciation that's shaped Chinese tea tasting for centuries.
It's a lovely way to slow down, whether you're curious about tea as a path to mindfulness and the ancient wisdom of Zen, or simply after a tranquil afternoon by the water. Afterwards, settle into the riverside studio for afternoon tea, a spot of quiet reading, or a slow catch-up with a friend, with the Thames as your backdrop.
  • Discover the art of Chinese tea with a guided tasting workshop
  • Learn about the culture and philosophy behind each brew
  • Taste a variety of teas and deepen your understanding of tea
  • Experience the ritual of traditional Chinese tea in a serene setting

We are Yiqing and Yang, Chinese tea and incense lovers for over 30 years. We established an Asian culture centre - Amitabha Garden, in 2014 by the Thames riverside. We want to share our passion for chemical-free Chinese incense made by ourselves and authentic Chinese tea from our own tea field with Westerners.
Amitabha Garden grew out of traditional Chinese culture and Buddhist philosophy. What began as a small tea space gradually became a cultural home for Chinese tea, traditional arts, and mindful living. Today, our riverside space in Greenwich hosts Chinese tea ceremonies, incense journeys, cultural workshops, and contemplative gatherings inspired by Buddhism, Chinese philosophy, and literati culture. We work with carefully sourced teas, incense, and objects, chosen for their provenance, craftsmanship, and the stories they carry.
