My Story

Hi, I am Toyin, the founder of TY Couture Cakes. I’ve been running my cake business for over 15 years, specialising in bespoke wedding cakes, gourmet bakes, and beautifully crafted desserts. My wedding cakes have been featured in Vogue, Elle, TATLER and Brides Magazines.

I started baking as a creative outlet, but it quickly grew into a full business that allowed me to bring people joy through elegant, flavour-forward cakes and treats. That passion for quality, detail, and design still drives everything I do today.

Why I Love Teaching

Teaching has always been a natural part of my journey. I love helping people build confidence in the kitchen and showing them that baking can be both fun and achievable. Whether it’s adults learning new skills or children discovering baking for the first time, seeing that spark of excitement never gets old.

What Makes My Experience Unique

Alongside running TY Couture Cakes for more than a decade, I’ve taught successful children’s baking classes, mentored upcoming wedding cake business owners, and hosted retail and corporate pop-up experiences. This blend of hands-on baking, business knowledge, and real-world experience means I teach with a practical, approachable style that students find easy to follow.
