I really enjoyed the ‘Alcohol Ink Workshop’ with Kirsty!
Kirsty was a great teacher, and both friendly and welcoming.
Kirsty explained and demonstrated the technique step by step; and then advised us individually on our colour choices and designs to create our desired results.
As a complete novice, I was delighted with my results, and I would definitely recommend the session for either individuals, or as a friends/family fun group activity!

This was my first attempt at Lino printing and I loved it, Kirsty explained everything really well and was patient and attentive. The 3 hours flew by. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to try something new and create some beautiful art for their home

The class was so good! Small numbers of participants meant more attention from Kirsty.
It was a technique which was new to me, so I enjoyed learning new things.
Will definitely come back for further classes!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Lino Cut 3-hour course today. Kirsty's guidance was clear and engaging, making the intricacies of lino cutting accessible even for beginners like me. The hands-on experience allowed me to explore various techniques, from carving to printing, and I appreciated the emphasis on individual creativity. The small class size ensured personalized attention, fostering a supportive learning environment. By the end of the session, I not only gained a newfound appreciation for the art of lino cutting but also left with a tangible piece that showcased my newly acquired skills. Overall, a highly rewarding and inspiring course.

We had such a lovely afternoon making our Christmas wreaths. Kirsty was great, very welcoming and created a lovely atmosphere! Three hours flew by! Will definitely be looking into in future workshops, thank you.

We visited The Hive which was a quirky converted barn where the alcohol ink painting took place. Kirsty is a fantastic and very patient teacher who talked us through the process, different methods and various tips. The materials used were to a high standard and there was plenty to chose from. We enjoyed it so much that we are already talking about booking another class.

Loved this class! The Hive studio is on a gorgeous farm inside a lovely converted barn. Really peaceful. Our teacher was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, and there was lots of tips and also lots of hands on experience. The process itself is easy to pick up and we had plenty of time to experiment and hone our technique. We learned about the use of colours and also metallic pigments. Such a nice morning and I’d love to do it again!

I had the BEST morning at the alcohol ink class at The Hive. The venue was perfect and the course itself was such value for money. The teacher was knowledgeable, welcoming and encouraging. I learnt so much and was so absorbed in the process that I could've stayed there all day. I have since come home and purchased the same items so I can continue to practise the new skills I have learnt. Would definitely recommend! 5*

The class was taught by Kirsty whom was very friendly & knowledgeable with all the questions I asked. She talked through the supplies we would be using which were laid out in a very organised room. The class gave me a chance to try something new before investing in all the supplies. I definitely needed the hands on learning which help me understand and practice techniques I had already watched online. I had a great time painting & learning with Kirsty, and can not wait to try on my own very soon.
