What you'll do

Explore Thai cuisine and add some authentic Thai recipes to your repertoire as you learn to cook with chef Yui at this deliciously creative cooking class in London.

Your chef teacher Yui comes from a Thai-Chinese family where cooking and eating have always been a focal point of family life. From a young age, Yui found her passion for cooking from her family with traditional Thai recipes passed on from her Grandmother.

Yui moved to the UK in 2001, where she began to learn to cook more Western food, adding her own Asian twist to classic recipes. In recent years, Yui has showcased her passion for authentic Asian cuisine on BBC’s MasterChef UK 2019 as a quarter-finalist and Channel 4’s Beat the Chef.

At this Thai cooking class, you'll learn to cook:

Pork dumplings.
Thai spicy papaya salad.
Thai green chicken curry - an authentic, spicy curry paste cooked with chicken and simmered in coconut milk, seasoned with palm sugar and fish sauce.

As part of your class, you'll learn the basics of cutting, slicing and chopping using a Chinese cleaver. You’ll also be taught how to fill, fold and season your pork dumplings to make them extra delicious.

With chef Yui as your guide, you'll gain the basics of Thai seasoning with herbs and spices and you'll learn what kind of seasoning to use to make delicious Thai dishes independently.

By the end of your cooking class, you'll have a selection of tasty Thai dishes to enjoy. Sit down with your fellow chefs and enjoy your meal!
