We were complete beginners to this class, and quickly got up to speed. I appreciated the autonomy that we were given. It really made the rings we made very personal and special.

She shows you all the techniques you need to make the rings by yourself and gives you many options to personalise so that you end up with something really bespoke and to your own individual taste. I had a wonderful time and would recommend for anyone looking for something creative and some time out from the day to day. It was a birthday gift from some friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

We made three stacking rings each using different styles and techniques. Alison, the teacher, was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. She made everything easy to understand, guided us when needed, created such a welcoming atmosphere and gave us the flexibility to make our rings exactly how we wanted them. Beyond learning a new skill, this class gave us special mother-daughter memories that we’ll treasure, and we left with rings that look so professional, like rings we would have bought from a shop! A creative, fun and memorable experience — we can’t recommend it enough!

She really made my birthday a special one, and was warm and encouraging while letting us learn by doing. She taught us so many practical skills, and we learned by making rings alongside her so we had seen it done before we did it ourselves. By the end of the session we each had three beautiful silver rings, hand soldered (carefully!) in different styles (which we chose). We really appreciated the hands-on approach Alison uses, and feel like we learned enough to be able to make our own rings if we ever get a work shed one day. Thank you, Alison! You were a star and we love our rings.

A privilege to make a silver ring in a real working studio with a talented and passionate jewellery maker. The rings are even more beautiful in person than in the photos. We chose to make a single ring but now I want to find an excuse to go back to do the stacking rings too!

The class itself is so fun and she is so patient and really great at explaining things to make it easy to understand and digest. The space she teaches in so cozy and full of character, she prepares everything you need and there are so many thoughtful touches throughout her class. I highly recommend taking this taster class as Alison is such an outstanding teacher and you get three wearable rings out of it!
