What you'll do

This practical cooking class is perfect for sushi lovers! Learn to make many types of sushi in one class in London and develop a host of sushi-making knowledge and skills as you learn the ropes with experienced cooking tutors.

An intense course, this sushi-making class is for serious sushi lovers as well as for entrepreneurs going into the business. You will be in a spacious air-conditioned shop with small classes, even find it is a private class if you booked on weekdays. Therefore, you have full attention from chef tutors and all your questions will be answered.

During your cooking class, you'll gain a basic knowledge of the history of sushi, learning about the development of sushi and trends of sushi consumption over the years.

You'll also learn how to select the right ingredients for sushi making and how to use the equipment and tools needed to create this dish.

During this 3-hour sushi class, you'll learn how to:

Select, cook and prepare sushi rice.
Prepare your equipment and working space for sushi making.
Prepare your ingredients, developing your knife skills.
Make many types of sushi enough to be a feast.
You'll learn to present the different types of sushi, ensuring your sushi looks as good as it tastes!

By the end of this London sushi-making class, you'll have a selection of sushi to eat or take home. As well as leaving your class with lots of delicious handmade sushi, you'll also head off with the skills and confidence you need to make sushi independently for any occasion.

Allergy Information

Soy in soy sauce and some other dressings.
Gluten in soy sauce and tempura dishes.
Egg in mayonnaise and some other ingredients.
Crustaceans are in many ingredients.
Possible to use all plant-based ingredients.

Add-on Class
You can add the following add-ons to learn more in the same class. They will take an extra 30-60 minutes each.

Tempura Making.
Dipping Sauces.
Pickled Ginger.
You can also learn how to sharpen your kitchen knives. Bring one in if safe to do so.
For the popular Sashimi add-on, please book at least 3 days in advance.

This class can be held online as well as at the client site. Please send a message to the teacher to discuss the details.

Notice

Please do not bring your own drinks or food to the class.
This class is not suitable for pregnant women and young children due to the length and workload.

Refund and Reschedule
Please book the date you definitely can attend to help other customers' bookings.

There is no refund for cancellation.
Later than 15 minutes to the agreed time will see the booking cancelled with no refund or reschedule.
Possibility of Reschedule is very limited and will be charged £150 per booking.

Knowledge required

Beginners are welcome. This is an intensive class so be prepared for a busy class!
Children over 14 are welcome as long as with paid adults. Everyone requires a ticket. Children learn better when parents participate.
A person under 18 cannot attend the class alone. We will ask for valid IDs if you look very young. Your class will be cancelled without a refund if you fail to provide proof. It is for your safety and required by the insurance policy. If we don't follow it, this class will not be allowed to continue. Thank you for your understanding.

What to bring

A few containers are definitely needed to take home any food you don't eat during your class. You will make a lot of Sushi.
A thermo bag if you need to travel long distance or in the summer. We have some for sale in the shop if you forgot yours.

This would also be a nice gift for her, gift for mum, anniversary gift or birthday gift.
