As someone deeply passionate about culture and community, I felt there weren’t enough spaces in the UK that truly highlighted the work of African and Caribbean artists in meaningful ways. That was the spark that led me to create a platform where people could connect not just with art, but with the stories, heritage, and lived experiences behind it.Teaching through CasildART workshops is one of the most fulfilling parts of what we do. I love seeing people from all walks of life—especially those who never thought of themselves as “creative”—gain confidence, reconnect with their imagination, and leave with something they’re proud of. Whether it’s a portrait class, an artist-led talk, or a mindful drawing session, the real joy comes from creating space for self-expression and belonging.Over the years, we’ve collaborated with major brands such as Rimowa and worked alongside a fantastic range of artists and facilitators. Our team has led public art sessions, hosted corporate wellbeing workshops, and contributed to national exhibitions. Most recently, we became a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), reflecting our ongoing commitment to public impact and equity in the arts.What makes our classes unique?
