Stories in the Scraps: Junk Journal Workshop

Turning found papers into quiet, beautiful moments in this collage class in London.

3 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests       £40 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

A junk journal workshop in London is a creative space where everyday scraps become interesting pages. You will gather from a selection of beautiful ‘found’ materials, old book pages, envelopes, maps, and miscellaneous paper, and transform them into a personal handmade journal.
No experience is needed. This workshop invites playful ideas and a way of winding down to a place of calm. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind journal that captures your personality and interests, and a place for doodling, drawing, words, and imagining.
This workshop is led by Sandie Cottee. Sandie is a mixed media artist living in Essex, where the marshlands and big skies inspire her love of nature and creativity. She runs workshops and residential women's retreats, and her creative style is eclectic.
What you'll get
A handmade junk journal that reflects your personality, interests, and imagination in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere perfect for unwinding and experimenting.

Southlands Arts Centre is a wonderful Queen Anne Grade 2 listed building with extensive, beautiful grounds. It is the perfect backdrop for all creative people. The Centre is used by people and groups who engage in cultural activities across the fine arts, music, photography, film, and craft design.
We are well known for our exhibitions held throughout the year and attract some amazing artists (many local) who regularly exhibit their work at the Centre. We are also the home for The West London Photo Exhibition and SouthlandsLIVE.
