Stained Glass Summer School in Buckinghamshire Course

1st - 5th September

5 x 6 hours Class size 1 to 3 guests       £1,150 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Do you dream of creating your very own stained glass panel? Imagine spending a whole week in a beautifully stocked glass studio, surrounded by like-minded souls, and crafting something truly special.
This summer, I’ll be hosting a Stained Glass Summer School in the stunning Buckinghamshire countryside, in my fabulous studio.
We’ll have plenty of time, inspiration, and glass! I’ll guide you through the entire process, from designing and sketching your own cartoon to learning glass painting and fusing techniques to add unique details. Whether you’re making a panel for your home or a free-standing piece, you can even include something personally meaningful to you; just let me know ahead of time so we can plan for it.
By the end of the week, you’ll have a gorgeous stained glass panel of your own design, along with several sample pieces, and you’ll have spent time doing what you love.
My studio is located just outside Chesham, nestled in peaceful countryside at the end of the Metropolitan line. We’ll start each morning with an inspiring walk to soak up the calm and carry that energy into our creative work.
With only 4 spots available, our group will be small, giving you plenty of one-on-one support and the chance to connect with other passionate creators.
Each day will run from 10.00am - 5.00pm approx.
What’s included in the course:
  • 5 days of tuition in my studio with full access to all tools and materials
  • Delicious homemade refreshments
  • A daily pub lunch
  • Unlimited tea and coffee
  • An apron
  • Printed course materials
  • Luxury hardback notebook to collate your own notes and design ideas

Hi, I’m Suzanne Raffellini, a glass artist based in Buckinghamshire. I’ve always loved being creative; ever since I was little, I was drawing, making things, and dreaming about going to art college.
But life had other plans, and I ended up studying Chemistry at university. I went on to do a PhD and worked in scientific research for several years, including a stint in Italy. It was a great experience, but I always felt like something was missing.
Even while working full-time and raising a family, I found ways to be creative; sewing, decorating cakes, getting stuck into DIY projects, but it wasn’t quite enough.
Then one day, I had the opportunity to take a last-minute spot on a stained glass course at my local Adult Education Centre. That one class changed everything; I instantly fell in love with glass and how glass work combined hands-on making with the kind of precision and problem-solving I enjoyed in science.
What started as a fun hobby quickly became a big part of my life. Now, I not only create my own work but also run workshops to help others explore glass art for themselves.
My classes are friendly, relaxed, and open to anyone; whether you’re completely new to glass or looking to try something creative just for you.
If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, have a look at my upcoming courses; I’d love to see you there.
