The Thamesmead estate in South London was built in the late 1960s and designed as a revolution of social housing. The Brutalist aesthetic attracted inspired Stanley Kubrick to shoot scenes for ‘A Clockwork Orange’ around Southmere Lake. What remains of the project’s original buildings is currently under threat of modern redevelopment. There’s never been a better time to explore mid-century design in all its stark and austere beauty. We will edit our photos at the end using the FREE Snapseed app. We will be finishing in a local cafe where we will do a bit of editing using Snapseed, one of the best free editing apps around.
