I have a passion for hand sewing and am consistently amazed at what can be achieved with needle and thread. Hand stitching has enormous potential not just for practical uses but also as a unique and individual form of self-expression.
Over four intimate Saturday sessions, you'll discover the mindful art of hand sewing, learning how this timeless craft can become both a practical skill and a form of creative expression. Each weekly class builds your confidence with different stitching techniques, allowing you to develop at your own pace while exploring the meditative qualities of slow stitching.
Whether you're completely new to hand sewing or have some experience, these sessions create a welcoming space for all skill levels. The focus isn't on achieving perfect stitches, but rather on embracing the rhythmic, peaceful nature of working with needle and thread.
As the weeks progress, you'll find yourself developing not just practical sewing skills, but a deeper appreciation for the therapeutic benefits of slow craft. By the final session, you'll have gained the confidence to continue your stitching journey independently, equipped with techniques that can be applied to both practical mending and artistic expression.
