Hello! I'm Gökçen Ataman Tanyer, a sculptor originally from Istanbul. In 2020, I was honoured to receive the Sustainable Art Prize, which led to my endorsement as a Global Talent in Fine Arts. Three years ago, I moved to the UK with my family and our senior rescue golden retriever, Pamuk. I've always loved this country and am delighted to now call it home.I recently opened my studio, The Messy Table, a cosy creative space at Portland Road Studios in the heart of Kingston upon Thames, just around the corner from Kingston Art School.The Messy Table is all about bringing people together through creativity. I offer a range of hands-on workshops, including tufting, punch needle, polymer clay jewellery, painting, epoxy art, and other seasonal creative experiences.Looking for something special? I also host bespoke private events for hen parties, birthdays, baby showers, team-building days, family gatherings, and other celebrations. Workshops can be tailored to suit your group, whether you'd like to make jewellery, create artwork, or try another creative activity together.I can host groups of up to 8 people in my studio or travel to your chosen venue for larger groups. If you have a custom idea in mind, just send me a message and I'd be happy to create a workshop especially for you.My studio is still very new, so in many ways I feel like I'm learning alongside my participants. Every workshop is relaxed, welcoming, and filled with creativity, conversation, tea, coffee, and sometimes a visit from Pamuk, my 12-year-old rescue golden retriever, who loves being part of the creative atmosphere.I'd love to welcome you to The Messy Table and help you create a memorable experience while making something beautiful by hand.
