Join this pressed flower sunset workshop in Greenwich and enjoy a calming, creative evening on the river at the beautiful Oystercatcher. Set overlooking the Thames with views towards Canary Wharf, this unique workshop combines creativity, flowers and beautiful riverside surroundings for a truly inspiring experience.
On arrival, guests will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine, beer or soft drink before settling in for an evening of creativity.
Using real pressed flowers and botanical materials, you'll create your own sunset-inspired artwork inspired by the colours, reflections and atmosphere of the Thames at sunset.
This workshop is designed to help you slow down, experiment creatively and enjoy the process in a relaxed, supportive environment, perfect for beginners or anyone looking for a mindful and inspiring evening. Working with pressed flowers is wonderfully tactile and intuitive, allowing you to layer colour, texture and shape to create atmospheric sunset scenes that feel completely unique.
You'll be guided through the process of building your composition using carefully selected pressed petals, leaves and botanical elements inspired by warm sunset tones and reflections across the water. We focus on creativity and atmosphere rather than perfection, helping you feel confident exploring your own style.
During this workshop, you'll learn how to:
  • Create a balanced sunset-inspired colour palette using real pressed flowers
  • Build layered skies and soft gradients with petals and botanicals
  • Design a simple Canary Wharf skyline silhouette
  • Create reflections and movement inspired by the Thames
  • Work with composition, layering and texture to create depth
  • Use negative space and framing to create a professional finished piece
We'll demonstrate everything slowly and clearly, from selecting flowers and arranging colour to layering petals and building your skyline. Guests will create at least one finished pressed flower artwork inspired by the sunset view across the river.
Your artwork will be mounted onto beautiful A4 fine art paper with a generous border, creating an elegant finished piece ready to frame. Frames will also be available to purchase on the day should you wish to frame your artwork during or after the workshop.
Every artwork will be completely different, making this a lovely opportunity to create something personal and expressive while enjoying the riverside atmosphere.
This workshop is a wonderful way to switch off, connect creatively and spend an evening immersed in flowers, colour and the calming creative process. You'll leave with a beautiful botanical keepsake and a newfound sense of creative confidence.
