female Women-owned

My practice lies at the intersection of art and craft, where traditional techniques meet contemporary expression. I work primarily with mixed media, using textiles as both medium and metaphor. Natural printing, hand-painting, and handwoven fabrics form the foundation of my work, layered with elements of Indian craftsmanship such as embroidery, weaving, and surface embellishment. These materials carry the weight of history, heritage, and the labor of artisans, which I reinterpret into narratives that are both personal and collective.
At the heart of my art is the exploration of women’s lives, livelihoods, and emotions. Each piece reflects aspects of resilience, vulnerability, and the quiet strength embedded in everyday experiences of women. By blending craft-based practices with fine art, I seek to honor traditions while creating new visual languages that speak to contemporary realities. My works are not only tactile and material-driven but also conceptual, aiming to evoke empathy, connection, and dialogue around women’s roles and voices in society.
Through this fusion of art and craft, I hope to create spaces where traditional skills are celebrated, stories of women are amplified, and textiles transcend function to become powerful carriers of emotion and meaning.
