It ended up being a 1:1 craft session with Gisela - I really enjoyed it! She had a great way of explaining the macrame knots and some really useful hints and tips on how to work out where you are when you (inevitably!) lose count of how many knots you have actually done. We got a good way through creating the plant pot holder, Gisela showed me the last knot I would need to do and I now just need to repeat the steps I have learnt to complete the pot holder.

Gisela also provided some useful tips about the Hobbycraft YouTube channel that I can use to remind myself of the techniques if I have a mental block and also of the website to look for other macrame projects I can tackle with the remaining yarn.

That was 90 minutes well spent - crafting, chatting and relaxing. Thank you Gisela!

Great workshop, lots of guidance but allowing us to make our own designs and use the materials in the way we wanted

Quality products arrived by post and then the online course was a small group, with time for questions and to observe the techniques used. I need some more practice but am already getting to grips with the brush lettering.
