Join Fiona Dowling of Jewellery Moves for this beginner-friendly workshop and learn how to create your own stunning seaglass pendant. In just three hours, you’ll learn essential jewellery making techniques, including sawing, soldering, and bezel setting. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a beautiful, unique and handmade pendant.
Bringing your own seaglass?
You’re welcome to bring your own pieces; however, they must be no thicker than 4mm, no larger than 2cm in diameter, and have smooth edges. The tutor will assess suitability before you begin. Alternatively, a selection of seaglass will also be available on the day.
What will I make?
You will make your own sea glass pendant, learning how to securely set your chosen piece in silver. The final result will be a unique and personal piece of jewellery.
What will I learn?
This workshop is designed for beginners, covering fundamental skills such as:
  • Sawing and shaping silver
  • Soldering a bezel setting
  • Securing seaglass within the setting
  • Polishing and finishing your pendant
What will happen on the day?
The session will begin with an introduction to seaglass jewellery making, including an overview of materials and tools.
Your tutor will demonstrate each step, from cutting and shaping the metal to soldering and setting the seaglass. With hands-on support, you’ll work through each stage, refining your skills and bringing your design to life.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a completed pendant and the confidence to continue exploring the techniques independently.
