Sea Glass Jewellery Making Course

Learn, create and enjoy yourself at this four-week jewellery making course near St. Ives.

4 x 2.5 hours Class size 4 to 6     label £125

If you're a fan of jewellery and would love to make some personalised pieces for yourself, this jewellery making course will see you learning to make stand-out accessories from natural sea glass.

Over the course of these four two and a half hour workshop sessions, you will create three pieces of sea glass jewellery under the guidance of a friendly, experienced tutor.

In the first two sessions, you will work on two set projects (a pair of drilled glass dangle earrings and a set sea glass ring or pendant) that will teach you all the key skills for making silver jewellery, as well as how to drill and set sea glass.

For the third and fourth sessions, you'll have the opportunity to use your skills to create your 'hero' piece of your sea glass jewellery collection. Your teacher will share sample pieces to help with ideas, and you'll then design your final piece which you will work on over the final two sessions.

You'll have the full support of your teacher throughout each class, so no worries about getting stuck. You'll leave the course with your beautiful sea glass jewellery ready to enjoy for years to come.

Please note: Materials for the first two 'taught' projects are included, however there is an extra charge for the material for your final uniquely designed piece and is charged per gram of silver. Ask the teacher for more details prior to booking.

Your teacher

I am a jewellery designer and maker, who works predominantly with recycled silver. I started learning this craft in 2015. What started out as a hobby, quickly became all consuming, I transformed our spare room into a workshop and started selling my designs under the name Sable Cloud Jewellery. My previous career as primary school teacher made it a natural progression for me to share my love of working with metal by teaching family and friends to make their own jewellery...and now I am teaching you! Forever on learning journey to master new skills myself, I will show you the basic techniques you need to make beautiful silver jewellery.
