Hi, I’m Caroline Buckley and I am the founder and creator of House of Buckley. I grew up in County Kerry, Ireland and came to London to work at 16, and fell in love with Hackney and London life and settled in Stoke Newington.
Sadly in 2016 my husband died by suicide, then I was made redundant three months later. During this time I found so much solace in the power of lighting a candle, the experience of the calm environment and getting lost in wonderful memories the aroma brought allowing me time to heal.
Creating candles and scents became my mindfulness therapy, this is how House of Buckley was born. The aim to share the benefit and power of scent with others and show my then teenage children you are able to achieve anything you put your mind to.
House of Buckley is a luxury brand with ecological consciousness. I wanted to make a conscious purchase without compromising on style and fragrance, so for me, sustainability is an integral part of my cruelty-free and vegan brand. All of my products are paraben and phthalate-free. With the soy candle's clean and minimal aesthetic design and the highest grade ingredients, my vision is to achieve the ultimate holistic atmosphere.
Aroma is an alternative approach for helping the mind, body, and spirit through the use of scent to create an atmosphere and stimulate the senses. Research has shown that many moods and negative emotions can be lifted due to scents that are introduced to an environment.
House of Buckley supports varies charities through donations and care packages. Some of the charities include:
  • Grief Encounter UK
  • Winston's Wish
  • Safaplace
  • The Stephen Lawrence Foundation
