Sandy Christina Caldeira

Hi there, I'm Sandy! I'm a qualified TEFL teacher, and I'm passionate about teaching English language and history. My dad and grandad are both teachers, and they inspired me to follow in their footsteps. Before moving to the UK, I taught in the Caribbean and South America. Since then, I've been working in education, teaching both in the classroom and online. My experience has given me the confidence to lead classes in both settings and adapt my approach to meet each student's different needs and abilities.

I have the necessary qualifications to teach individuals of different levels and groups. Specifically, I possess a Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning (L6DTL-OT). Additionally, I hold a Diploma in Level 3 Teaching Assistance and have gained valuable experience working with children of all ages in different learning environments.

I specialise in supporting students with diverse learning needs and work within the SEND both online and in the classroom.

Equally, as a coordinator for student welfare and well-being, I promote well-being in various learning settings for people of all ages and backgrounds. To achieve this, I engage in daily mindfulness practices with students, organise micro-sessions to provide one-to-one support, and facilitate group meetings to encourage sharing of diverse perspectives and mutual support.

In addition to my general duties, I have particular expertise in teaching short sessions focusing on study skills and assignment workshops. These sessions help students plan and organise their work and reach their academic objectives. As part of my role, I assist students from diverse backgrounds with differing needs to make sure they receive the support they require.
