Whether you've never danced Salsa or Bachata before, already know a few moves, or simply love a good party, this evening brings together learning, dancing and socialising all under one roof.
The evening kicks off with Salsa and Bachata classes across two levels, so both beginners and more experienced dancers can learn, practise and build confidence in a friendly, welcoming setting – no partner or previous experience needed.
Then the three-room party begins:
  • Main Party Room – a feel-good mix of party favourites, from 80s, 90s and Michael Jackson to Merengue and Latin party music
  • Salsa & Bachata Room – put your new moves into practice with a fantastic mix of Salsa and Bachata, dancing with different people as you go
  • Chillout Room – take a breather, relax and get to know other guests before heading back to the floor
Families are welcome too, with optional arts and crafts for children led by a registered professional, and a possible child-friendly dance session for younger guests if there's interest – just reach out to let us know.
Whether you're coming solo, as a couple, with friends, or as a family, you're welcome here. Come for the class, stay for the party, and leave with new moves, new memories, and hopefully some new friends too.

Knowledge required

The evening includes different class levels, so there will also be opportunities for dancers who already have some salsa or bachata experience.
You don't need to bring a partner, and you don't need to consider yourself a "good dancer."
Our aim is to create a relaxed environment where you can learn at your own pace, meet people, and enjoy dancing without pressure.
Children and families are also welcome, with optional activities available for younger guests.
All you need is a willingness to give it a go and have fun!
What to bring
Come wearing something you feel comfortable moving and dancing in.
Comfortable shoes are recommended – you don't need specialist dance shoes.
You may also want to bring:
  • A bottle of water
  • A change of top if you expect to dance a lot
  • Your friends, partner, or family if you'd like some company
Most importantly, bring your energy and be ready to have fun!
No dance partner is required. You're very welcome to attend by yourself, especially as we will be running an icebreaker at 9pm for people to get to know new people quickly and easily.

I started Colindale Salsa, Bachata & Fitness in April 2025 with the aim of bringing people together through dance and movement.
Latin music and dancing have always been part of my life. My mother is from Bolivia, so I grew up around Latin music, social gatherings and dancing from a young age. However, I began dancing salsa and bachata more seriously in my early 20s. What drew me in was not only the music but also the people. The dance community is incredibly welcoming, and I quickly realised how powerful dance can be in bringing people together.
I’ve now been teaching dance for over 8 years and have taught more than 1, 000 students. During that time, I’ve taught and performed at large events and festivals across the UK, including the Blackpool North West Dance Congress and the Plymouth Mega Dance All Dayer. I’ve also had the opportunity to dance abroad in places such as Kazakhstan, Spain and Poland.
Alongside teaching regular classes, I’ve organised many dance and community events including MoveFest, salsa boat cruises, dance fun runs and “Dancing in the Park” events. I’ve also worked with organisations and institutions including the University of Plymouth, Middlesex University, the University of Brighton, Southampton University, Age UK and others.
Colindale Salsa, Bachata & Fitness actually started in an unexpected way. After moving to Colindale in 2024, I bumped into a former student from a dance school I ran outside London over 8 years ago. She encouraged me to start something locally and began spreading the word about my previous classes. After several people asked about it, I made a post on Facebook to gauge interest. The response was positive, so I organised my first event in Colindale — and the community has been growing ever since.
What I love most about teaching is seeing people grow in confidence. Many students come to their first class feeling nervous, but after a few weeks they’re smiling, moving more freely and making new friends. Students often tell me they appreciate how patient I am and that my classes are fun, supportive and full of positive energy.
My mission for Colindale Salsa, Bachata & Fitness is simple: to help as many people as possible get dancing, stay active and be part of a healthy, welcoming community.
