Ring Making Workshop

Let the creative juices flow as you learn to make your dream ring in recycled silver!

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 8 (public classes), 1 to 18

label £110 - £120 (Earlybird price of £110 applies if you book into a public session 9+ days ahead)

In this 2.5 hour hands-on workshop you will learn all the skills required to design and create your own bespoke ring using ancient wax carving techniques!

Please note: the ”Lunchtime Special!” workshop is 90 minutes long. For this class, please come with a ring idea in mind so that we can jump straight into making!

This workshop is a perfect opportunity to free your mind, get creative and connect with other like-minded people whilst making a special heirloom.

We hold a lot of sentiment in the jewellery we wear. It has the power to transport us, to bring back memories of loved ones and experiences. Hand-making a special heirloom only amplifies this. You can use this time to make the perfect present for a loved one or make a special ring to celebrate yourself.

No need to come with a design in mind, the creative process will allow some time to brainstorm with inspiring materials to help you come up with your very own and unique piece of jewellery.

All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. However, if you would like to deepen your existing skill set, that is possible too.

There will be some exciting optional upgrades available in-class, including gemstone setting, gold plating or engraving to make your ring even more special (available for pre-purchase or to add on the day).

By the end of the class, your piece will be completed, ready for casting which takes about 2 weeks.

The price includes materials to make a ring up to 4mm width. If you'd like to upgrade to a thicker ring, you will simply be charged for the additional weight in silver (calculated in class based on the final weight) plus a £5 casting upgrade fee.

If you would like to upgrade to solid gold you may do this on the day. We will weigh the wax model to determine the cost of gold.

The designer and founder of Anonoma Jewellery. In 2014 I took my first class in lost wax casting and it forever changed how I made jewellery. Not only did I fall in love with endless limits of creativity in this method of jewellery making, but I enjoyed the therapeutic and meditative qualities of the process.

In 2020 I created the Ring Making Kits - an at home guide and series of wax carving tutorials so that I could share this passion of mine with others during lockdown. Following the success and fun that came from the kits I decided to start hosting some workshops!
