Give your kids a creative Christmas experience while you get your festive shopping done in peace! At my ReCrafted Christmas Workshop, children will transform pre-loved decorations and holiday odds and ends into beautiful, festive creations from baubles to coasters, gift tags, and Christmas tree ornaments. They'll learn the technique of decoupage (transferring images) using paper and napkins, and they'll learn about recycling, upcycling, and sustainability.
My team of merry helpers will guide your 'little elves' through fun, hands-on crafting activities that spark imagination, sustainability and the spirit of giving. Children will have access to squash and some fresh fruit snacks. Please let me know about any allergies.
There will be decorations available to upcycle. However, in the spirit of upcycling and sustainability, it would be amazing if you could bring some pre-loved baubles from home to replace the ones you use so that I can then re-use them with other children. Or you are welcome to upcycle your own.

This is suitable for children from Year 1 to Year 9, with a maximum number of 10 places so that it is a small group, hands-on experience. I am happy to accommodate other ages with prior agreement.
I have 15 years' experience of teaching in primary schools, and I was formerly an Assistant Headteacher, so your child is in good hands.
Vintage Chic ReLoved is a cosy upcycling studio within a stone's throw of the River Thames. Featuring a large car park and cafe onsite, it is also within easy reach of Staines or Walton to allow you to complete your Christmas shopping with ease.

No previous knowledge or skills are needed. This is a fun Christmas workshop.
What to bring
There will be baubles, gift tags available to upcycle. However, please bring additional baubles and old Christmas cards which can then be replaced and reused.
Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, birthday or hen do.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 5 years old).

Adult accompaniment is not required.

This experience would also be a unique gift for her, gift for mum, Xmas gift or gift for couples.

Hi!
I'm passionate about sustainability and upcycling and I also have a real love for anything mid-century modern. I've been teaching for 15 years and I was previously an Assistant Headteacher. During that time, I was responsible for teaching art across different year groups and developed a love for creativity.
I've upcycled many pieces of furniture including impressive looking pieces of Stag furniture, Harrops Better Furniture and many other mid century modern pieces from writing bureaus to dressers. I've also upcycled simple occasional tables and bedside tables.
I have used a variety of decorative effects for my furniture including stenciling, decoupage (both napkin decoupage and rice paper), furniture painting and wood effects to create truly stunning transformative pieces.
Three years ago, I had a cancer diagnosis. I wasn't going to be beaten and this spurred me on to follow a more creative path, hence my love of upcycling furniture and the Vintage Chic ReLoved was created. I'm delighted that I now have the opportunity to combine both my extensive teaching experience and knowledge of transforming pre-loved furniture into upcycling workshops aimed at creating a more sustainable circular economy.
My upcycling workshops are for everyone. They take place at Vintage Chic ReLoved, Ferry Point, Ferry Lane, Shepperton TW17 9LQ. It's a cosy riverside studio.
