Whether you want to add some personalised art to your walls or are looking for creative, fun things to do in London, this series of printmaking workshops are a brilliant option.

Hard ground etching is a time-honoured technique for creating striking monochrome images of anything that takes your fancy, from city landscapes to abstract geometry, even expressionist portraits. Under the guidance of an expert printmaker, you'll learn how to use your etching plate to create layers of tone and pattern to bring your subject to life on paper. You'll also get the lowdown on different inks and how they affect the finished piece, as well as how to correctly take care of your plate for the best results.

This three-week course is ideal both for beginners looking to get a start in printing and more experienced creatives seeking new techniques to add to their repertoire. Whether it's a one-off dabble to create a meaningful gift for someone special or the start of a lifelong hobby, you'll love working in this versatile (and satisfying!) medium.
