Discover the art of preserving flowers in resin at this special wooden tray workshop in London, a unique collaboration between Botanica & Field and The RiverShop.
This creative activity celebrates nature and craftsmanship, connecting a beautiful flower garden in Suffolk with your own creative spark. You'll begin by exploring an inspiring collection of blooms – from violas and cosmos to herbs and grasses – all harvested at their peak and patiently pressed. In this immersive session, which lasts between 90 minutes and two hours, you will be guided step-by-step through the entire process.
This workshop is designed to be accessible and relaxing for everyone, regardless of previous experience.
You will learn:
  • How to select and arrange your own floral composition from a curated library of beautiful pressed flowers.
  • The essentials of working with resin, including how to measure, mix, and pour it safely and effectively.
  • The technique for preserving flowers on a wooden tray, locking in each delicate petal to protect its colour and form for years to come.
All materials are provided, including your wooden tray, resin, Suffolk-grown pressed flowers, and protective equipment. Because resin needs time to cure fully, your tray will not be ready to take home immediately. You can arrange to collect it from the studio once it has set, or have it posted to you.
You’ll finish the session with new skills in resin craft and a deeper appreciation for botanical art, having created a beautiful tray that captures a moment of nature in a form you can use and enjoy every day.
What you'll get
A completed flowers in resin tray.
