I have been shooting photos for over 25 years. I knew i wanted to be a photographer from the age of 13, when i realised i could make a it a career. All my studies from then on were aimed towards this goal. I studied A levels, BTEC National and Higher National diplomas at art colleges with great reputations, then i decided to get out into the real world.
My first job in the commercial world was as 1st assistant to a well established advertising photographer; Frank Herholdt. After 3.5 years learning my trade here, it was time to stand on my own two feet.
I started to do various small commissions, Malaysian Airlines, Fiat and Railtrack to name a few. More recently i have been lucky to work with William Hill, Emirates Airlines, Betway Yodel and many others, producing worldwide campaigns and seeing my work on huge billboards.
I have along the way won a number of national and international awards including The New York Photography Awards, The Paris Photo Prize, The IPA Awards, APA, Colour awards, Communication Arts, Luerzers 200 Best Advertising Awards and The AOP awards, often considered the Oscars of photography.
I continue to shoot commercial work, plus plenty of personal work and I am loving the craft even more than ever. I want to make sure I can pass this on to the new generation, as the inducstry faces so many threats.
I have invested my whole working life in the photographic world, to those who are up and coming I want to help as much as i can.
In the past i was lucky enough to teach at The University for the Creative Arts, in Epsom, i was also asked to teach at Central St.Martins, sadly i was too busy to do this at the time. I have also taught at a few workshops for children and for adults, covering all levels of knowledge with a camera.
