Charlotte will provide you with and apron, googles and mask, but it can be dusty so you might want to wear something you don't mind getting dirty.

We had the freedom to explore different techniques and we both ended up with rings that we absolutely love, that we genuinely made ourselves! - 5/5 from Sabrina Au, attended Jun 2025: Charlotte was such a fantastic and friendly instructor who taught us lots of hands on techniques (cutting the band, stamping / hammering designs, shaping, soldering, filing, polishing) while giving us creative freedom and time to craft a piece of jewellery that feels very personalised. Unlike so many other gimmicky workshops out there, where you don't have much time and you end up with something generic, Charlotte has designed her workshop to give plenty of time (2hrs 45mins!!!) to experiment and practice with lots of 1:1 instruction. Our rings turned out to be pieces we would happily wear a day to day. Thank you for the lovely time!!

Me and my partner made matching chunky silver rings from scratch- Charlotte was a lovely friendly patient teacher who was the perfect mix of directive and helpful but also letting us try out every step for ourselves to really feel like we had made the rings ourselves. They are beautiful and great quality. Really lovely present idea, would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves rings and workshops!
Your teacher
I studied and gained a 1st class honours degree in Jewellery and Silversmithing at Edinburgh college of art under the teaching of Dorothy Hogg MBE and William Kirk. I remained there to partake in an artist in residency and gained a travel bursary award from the RSA and travelled extensively in China where I gained both inspiration and work experiences. I have exhibited and sold my work throughout the UK and Europe including the 'Yorkshire Sculpture park' UK. 'Galerie Marzee'. The Netherlands and 'The Kelvingrove Museum' Scotland. I have two children and live and work in London.
