I am a ceramicist and teacher, currently based in Birmingham. Craft is my means of navigating the world, a way of life, a source of meaning. My practice focuses on marrying aesthetically pleasing forms with clearly defined functionality.

Through my pottery workshops and taster sessions, I look forward to sharing my passion for clay with you — nothing beats a bit of messy making to help the creativity flow! Hosted in my airy studio space in the historic Jewellery Quarter, you'll discover what makes working with clay such a meditative and meaningful experience.

I attended a class on a quiet Tuesday with my friend. Our teacher, Chris, displayed remarkable patience, repeating instructions as often as necessary and catering to our physical requirements. Chris was sincere and overall an exceptional teacher. I plan to book again soon, and I'm looking forward to bringing my mum along.

Chris was absolutely lovely and the class was so fun! Weekday was quiet so was just myself and a friend for a birthday activity, which was preferable for us. Learnt technique of throwing clay, how to shape and sculpt also. Got to make two items each. Highly recommend. Great teacher, nice to chat with, very patient and thorough for us beginners. Will be rebooking in the future!

I bought a 2 hour taster session for my daughters 14th birthday. We've never done anything like this before so a bit nervous beforehand but Pip, our teacher, was very welcoming and made us feel relaxed. The venue was lovely, open and bright. Pip explained everything well and showed us ŵhat we'd be doing in great detail, my daughter couldn't wait to get stuck in. The actual throwing was easier than my daughter thought it would be and she soon got into it. She made 5 pieces including 2 bowls and a plate in the 2 hours. We got 1 free with the booking and we bought 3 more pieces. It was definitely value for money, I paid £65 for the 2 hours. I didn't take part myself but I was able to sit with my daughter and watch. My daughter loved it and wants to book more classes. I would definitely recommend this class and our teacher Pip. She was very helpful and enthusiastic. It really made my daughters birthday. She cannot wait till her 4 items are finished and ready to collect. Thank you, it was fab!

My husband was bought the pottery experience for a birthday gift. It was fantastic.

2 hours flew by, and Abi was a brilliant host. She gave great instruction and praise but also helped to correct us when we'd gone awry.

Cannot wait to get our items back once they've been fired!

We took part in a class on valentines day with Gavin, who was very friendly and welcoming! He walked us through the process of taking a lump of clay to a thrown piece step by step with a demonstration, before letting us have a go for ourselves. The throwing itself was fun and unique, and Gavin was there to help us if we made a mistake or needed guidance on what we needed to do next. Looking forward to picking up our little pots after they're glazed and fired!

Had an amazing class yesterday at the pottery throwing taster class with Libby. Would highly recommend, it is so much fun to do this with your friends. Libby was an excellent teacher with a lot of talent and knowledge. We had a good laugh and it was very rewarding to produce some pottery of our own.

Thoroughly enjoyed this taster class.
On arrival Gavin introduced himself, welcomed everyone into the class and explained clearly how this taster session would work. He is very knowledgeable and clear in his instructions. The course is good value for money and the room clean and tidy and well worth a visit.

Quite frankly, brilliant!

A great experience, fantastic group and a truly wonderful teacher. The pace of the class and instruction were a perfect level and it was really great.

I bought this for my Dad’s 71st birthday present and we had the best time.

What a brilliant class! Abi was an excellent instructor. We each made 3 pots/bowls and only 2 of them went in the bin. We will get a nice surprise in a few weeks when they arrive in the post dried, fired and glazed.

Directions to the building could have been clearer. Coffee and tea making facilities could have been a bit tidier but everything about the pottery class itself was fantastic!
