Can complete beginners learn to paint in London?

Absolutely! ClassBento workshops are perfect whether you’ve been painting for years or haven’t picked up a paintbrush since school. There’s no experience required, and you’ll have a teacher on hand to help with any questions – just focus on having fun and enjoying yourself, not aiming for perfection!

What kind of painting classes in London are there?

There’s a painting workshop in London for every artistic style! You could choose to have a go at a landscape, learn how to paint portraits, try neon life painting, or even capture your furry friend with a pet portrait session.

What kind of paint will I use at a London painting class?

It depends on what painting class you’ve chosen – there’s a painting workshop in London for every type of paint! You could be using watercolours, acrylics, oils or even neon paint, depending on whether you want to create a gentle landscape or a vibrant canvas full of pattern and colour.

Are there any evening or weekend painting classes in London? I work full time.

Yes! Plenty of ClassBento painting classes are held outside of daytime hours, which makes them perfect for after work or fitting around a busy schedule – wherever you are in London!

Are there painting classes in Shoreditch?

Yes! There are painting classes across the whole of the city; from Hackney and Greenwich in the east to Richmond and Lambeth in South London. Most are located a short walk from the nearest tube station: each class listing gives specific details, or you can reach out to the teacher prior to booking for more information.

What should I bring to a painting class in London?

Nothing except yourself! All materials (and aprons!) are included, but it’s a good idea to wear old clothes so your favourite top isn’t ruined by paint splashes.

Do London painting classes provide step by step guidance?

This depends on which workshop you choose. There are lots of freeflow painting workshops in London that are run by a teacher, but you’re left to create your own masterpiece independently. If you fancy something a bit more organised, try a guided painting class where you often copy a famous painting such as Van Gogh’s ‘Starry Night’.

Are painting classes worth the investment in time and money?

Absolutely! Not only do you learn some new skills and have a great time, you also walk away with a fantastic piece of artwork for your wall - making it a great investment.

Can you buy a London painting workshop as a gift?

Definitely! Painting classes in London make great experience gifts: they’re far more relaxed than driving a fast car for the day, and they last longer too! Not only will your lucky giftee have a great time, they’ll also have a painting for their wall to remember the day by – why not book yourself on as well, and go together?

How long does a painting class in London last?

It depends on which class you book – most London painting classes last around 2 to 3 hours, while some run for longer.

What should I wear to a painting class in London?

We recommend wearing something comfortable that you wouldn't mind getting a little paint on. While most of our London painting classes provide aprons, it's always best to play it safe and avoid wearing your favourite outfit.

Can I bring my own food and drinks / BYOB to a painting class?

This depends on the specific class and venue. Many of our sip and paint events are held at locations with a bar where you can purchase drinks. Some workshops are designated as 'BYOB' (Bring Your Own Bottle), which will be clearly stated in the event description. Please check the details on the specific class booking page for precise information.
