What to bring
  • Saunders Waterford 1/2 imperial rough paper.
  • A selection of paintbrushes in sizes 16 and 30.
  • Watercolour paints (colours needed: burnt umber, raw sienna, ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, rich sepia Prussian blue, cadmium orange.)
  • Masking fluid.
  • Maskaway.
  • Pencil.
  • Water.
  • Kitchen roll.

Marilyn Allis is a talented watercolour artist with a loose and impressionistic style. Marilyn loves to use strong vibrant colours to capture the movement and the energy of a scene.
Working mainly in watercolour, but also acrylic inks and mixed media, Marilyn won the SAA artist of the year title in 1999. She has exhibited at the RI in the Mall galleries’ and appeared on Channel 4’s watercolour challenge.
