- Saunders Waterford 1/2 imperial rough paper.
- A selection of paintbrushes including a size 16 pointed brush.
- Watercolour paints (colours needed: Prussian blue, cadmium yellow, raw sienna, alizarin crimson, cadmium red, rich sepia, lemon yellow, cobalt blue, light red, intense violet).
- White gouache.
- Wax resist stick.
- Pencil
- Water.
- Kitchen roll.
- Ruler.
- Toothbrush.
- Cling film.
- Plastic card.
- Hairdryer (optional).
Your teacher
Marilyn Allis is a talented watercolour artist with a loose and impressionistic style. Marilyn loves to use strong vibrant colours to capture the movement and the energy of a scene. Working mainly in watercolour, but also acrylic inks and mixed media, Marilyn won the SAA artist of the year title in 1999. She has exhibited at the RI in the Mall galleries’ and appeared on Channel 4’s watercolour challenge.
