Some drawing skills.
What to bring
- Watercolour paper.
- A selection of paintbrushes in sizes 10, 16 and 30.
- Rake brush.
- Watercolour paints (colours needed: Prussian blue, rich sepia, light red, cobalt blue, alizarin crimson, intense violet, Raw sienna, cadmium yellow, cadmium red, burnt sienna, viridian green, cadmium orange, lemon yellow).
- Plastic card.
- Pencil.
- Water.
- Kitchen roll.
Your teacher
Marilyn Allis is a talented watercolour artist with a loose and impressionistic style. Marilyn loves to use strong vibrant colours to capture the movement and the energy of a scene. Working mainly in watercolour, but also acrylic inks and mixed media, Marilyn won the SAA artist of the year title in 1999. She has exhibited at the RI in the Mall galleries’ and appeared on Channel 4’s watercolour challenge.
