  • 4/5 from Helen, attended Sep 2026: Lovely evening, nice pub, the instructor was friendly and helpful and the instructions clear. I was reasonably impressed with my finished result considering it was my first time. Nice to take time out to do something creative.

  • 5/5 from Tony Seager, attended Jun 2026: Booked a painting session for a group of 45 mixed age and character individuals, some of whine weren’t keen. By its conclusion every single one came up to me to say how they’d loved the experience. Really enjoyable, great delivery by Natalia and Grace. Would highly recommend.
  • 4/5 from Stephanie Deacon, attended Jun 2026: This was our first try at one of the sip and paint evenings.we were made to feel welcome and soon found we were the only ones that had not been before. Our host was a lovely lady I think named Susan, she was very supportive and helped your confidence, venue was very nice, our only comment would be we needed more space, we were all quite packed around the table so difficult to get to water and paints between each canvas, overall great fun, lots of chat and will definitely book again.
  • 3/5 from June Pennell, attended Jun 2026: Why did we have to sit so close to each other when the pub was almost empty? It resulted in a participant daubing red paint on my sleeve! It was my birthday and I had come directly from lunch with friends so was wearing a very nice top which was ruined. Unsympathetically, I was told the website said wear old clothes, but the email reminder should have said this would be a danger. I don’t recall seeing the website as I booked via Facebook as far as I was concerned. Anyway the real problem was the seating arrangements which were uncomfortably close. Other than that the tuition was good although no time for anything individual.
  • 5/5 from Ann Colwell, attended May 2026: Brilliant evening thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed it and the two ladies taking the class are a joy
  • 5/5 from Beverley Braybrook, attended May 2026: Had a great evening painting a turtle. The tutors were great, very patient. The atmosphere was lovely. The only downside is the lack of space between us.
  • 5/5 from Elizabeth Hutchings, attended Apr 2026: Sue was absolutely fantastic! We were painting the flamingo and she was wonderful with all the steps- it felt incredibly relaxing!
  • 5/5 from Michele Major, attended Apr 2026: Brilliant! Great fun, well paced and a lovely tutor Can’t wait to go again
  • 5/5 from Lisa Weeks, attended Apr 2026: Brush party at The Poplar Farm Inn was great. Sue was fab & took the time to guide & make sure you felt confident with each stage of your painting. I am no artist & I was absolutely delighted with the end result No shortage of materials. My ONLY criticism was that there was very limited space around your easel for paints, water, tissues etc
  • 5/5 from Shelly Harvey, attended Mar 2026: Absolutely brilliant! The teacher was so lovely and made each step so easy to follow. Really enjoyed the whole experience and took home a nice painting.
  • 4/5 from Jorja Williams, attended Mar 2026: Great class and Sue was a great and patient teacher. Thoroughly enjoyed this class and would definitely recommend.
  • 5/5 from Debbie, attended Feb 2026: Had a fabulous time painting a highland cow Despite have zero creative ability, I managed to produce a fabulous painting, surprising myself & my friends I thoroughly recommend the evening, and I'm sure that I will book again to create other 'master pieces'
  • 4/5 from Karen, attended Feb 2026: Usually I stick to landscapes as they are more forgiving, animals either look like they should or don’t but I did Highland Fling for my granddaughter who is mad about Highland cows. Loved the class and it was very much trust the process to build the layers to the finished product and we were walked through each step. Venue a little cramped though which was the only downside.
  • 5/5 from Ruth Curry, attended Nov 2025: Tonight was the first time I have painted with Sue. Sue made it easy to follow and everything was explained well and the class was delivered at a good pace so I was able to keep up with each step of the progress. The lighting in the room was really good this time. We had a lot of laughs and a chance to meet new people too.
  • 5/5 from Michelle Young, attended Nov 2025: Teacher David was fabulous as always, this month guiding new teacher Sue. Sue was well paced, informative, enthusiastic and good humoured!
  • 5/5 from Chloe Howard, attended Oct 2025: Was a lovely experience painting Moonshine, nice relaxed environment ️ will be going again!
  • 5/5 from Jacqueline Hewson, attended Sep 2025: Tabby was great. The step-by-step instructions meant we could all produce something that looked great. It took longer than I expected - left around 10:20 - the time flew - we could have stayed longer to carry on touching our pictures up. There were 15 of us; some came in pairs, some individually
  • 4/5 from Debi Peters, attended Sep 2025: About dark, but really enjoyed it. Could have done with a bit more room too
  • 4/5 from Patricia Sutton, attended Sep 2025: Having been and enjoyed a previous session, I booked for myself and eldest grand daughter as a birthday treat at a local venue. The evening was great fun and the time flew! The teacher was very nice and gave help when needed. The venue, Poplar Farm pub, was nice, though a little cramped space wise. Unfortunately the lighting in the area given over to the event was pretty poor and most of us struggled initially. Attempts were made to improve it but it made little difference, meaning the teacher had to physically bring the tutorial canvases up and down the long table at which the 28 of us were seated. I also feel some of the brushes, particularly the smaller ones, were past their best, but I expect they are renewed on a regular basis and some were due for replacement. This did not overly detract from the fun and in fact caused some laughter every now and then when trying to achieve finer lines and little dots! The actual idea of these events is brilliant as people with either no 'arty' experience or some type of creative flair can achieve a recognisable canvas at the end of thoroughly enjoyable evening. I shall certainly be going to other sessions and would recommend it to anyone looking for something different to relax and de-stress for a few hours.

  • 5/5 from Lesley, attended Aug 2025: A birthday gift. Learned I can create a picture with paints! How to mix colours & blend in particular. Teacher very pleasant, easy going & very clear instructions.

  • 5/5 from Lisa Beech, attended Jul 2025: I was convinced I had no artistic skills but David was great & apart from a little stress with a dragon fly I found the whole experience relaxing. I am proud of what I produced and can’t wait to come again

  • 5/5 from Emily Gittings, attended Jul 2025: David was an excellent teacher, and helped break down the steps well. He was also always ready to support with any questions. I really enjoyed the process of making the gradient background and creating the floral foreground
  • 5/5 from Alison Daubney, attended Jul 2025: Teacher excellent! Struggle with glasses. At back need glasses to see to paint no glasses.
  • 5/5 from Gail Fraser, attended Jun 2025: The teacher was very good, friendly, knowledgeable and gave easy to follow instructions. Lots of encouragement and praise which helped us feel we were on the right track. Reassurance when we went a little off and gave some extra input when required. A brilliant class.

  • 5/5 from Katie Reed, attended May 2025: Had a wonderful evening. David was great and so accommodating. I’d messaged during the day having recently ruptured my Achilles meaning limited mobility and a need to have my leg raised. On arrival he had prepared a designated space for me and additional chair to raise my leg. The end result of my painting was amazing and far past my expectations.
  • 5/5 from Lynsey Tolley, attended May 2025: Love the paint and sip at the poplar farm. David is a wonderful host and make it’s so enjoyable.
  • 5/5 from L R Burley, attended Apr 2025: Was a great eveing. David was so helpful and very funny, that made the whole eveing a l9vely event to attend.
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Courtenay, attended Apr 2025: Great first session. Really enjoyed. It was very quick though and the space on the tables was so limited. David was brilliant, I think a lot of his attention was taken by 1 or 2 people that made the class a bit slower and he was able to help or support others a bit less. Overall great and can’t wait to come back!
  • 5/5 from Amanda Greenhalgh, attended Apr 2025: It was great. I went along on my own & i was a painting 'virgin' so I didn't know what to expect, but everyone was so lovely. The host was great & it was just a fun evening.

  • 5/5 from Lisa Wooton, attended Feb 2025: Saving is fantastic, the best person we’ve had in Andover. Such clear instruction and patient. I enjoyed this so much and it’s the best painting I’ve done. Please send David back again :)
  • 5/5 from Paula Staff, attended Jan 2025: Fab teacher but a shame the lighting was quite poor where I was sat
  • 5/5 from Joanne, attended Nov 2024: I had the most fantastic time at my first Paint and Sip class! I went by myself and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by the other participants and the tutor. I felt so pleased with the outcome of my painting that I've hung it on the wall at home, and I can't wait to go back in January to paint the next one. I'm hooked! Thank you Brush Party for such a lovely experience :)
