One to One Sewing Class

Discover the art of sewing in one-to-one classes in London, tailored to your unique needs, whether you're picking up a needle for the first time or you're an intermediate sewist looking to refine your skills.I'll teach you fundamental techniques including hand-stitching, machine stitching and fabric cutting, and help you build the confidence to read and follow sewing patterns so you can create accurate garments from scratch. We can work on anything from simple makes like tote bags and pillowcases to more involved pieces such as dresses and t-shirts, giving you the skills to bring your own sewing ideas to life. Along the way, I'll show you how to add personal touches so every piece reflects your style.I'm a self-taught sewist with over 15 years of practical, hands-on experience, and I love sharing what I've learned with beginners and improvers. I know first-hand how daunting sewing can feel at the start, and I bring that understanding into every session, along with plenty of patience and encouragement.Please note:As my own sewing knowledge is self-taught, I don't currently cover pattern drafting from scratch or complex alterations.Cat alert! I share my flat with two cats, and while I take steps to keep them out of the craft room during classes, cat hair may still be present. If you have allergies or aren't comfortable around cats, please bear this in mind. In the first class, you won't need to bring anything. I'll provide all the necessary materials. During and after the class, I'll provide you with a list of recommended materials and tools for future lessons and for practising at home. Read more details
