One-to-one Crochet Workshop

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a one-to-one and ask any questions you have about Crochet

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

They both really enjoyed the session, she was so patient and kind and encouraged everyone to enjoy exploring being creative and having fun. The girls were very happy at the end of the session with what they had achieved. I also learnt a great deal from watching!

  • 5/5 from Sandra Cook, attended Aug 2024: How to crochet great teacher material good value for money ho to crochet great ggggg
  • 4/5 from Chiara Nicholls, attended Jun 2024: I brought my daughter for a 1 to 1 crochet class at 6pm on Monday 24th June. I felt that our teacher Val was excellent, she listened to what we wanted to achieve and was very kind and professional and explained everything clearly. My daughter is autistic and has ADHD and yet she felt comfortable and learnt a fair amount, so I would say that the session was good value and our teacher Val was great. The only criticism I would say is that the whole top floor of Hobbycraft was unbearably hot. Val herself agreed it was too hot and this is caused by a metal roof. The room we were in was far too hot and my daughter literally was pouring in sweat. We did actually have to cut the session short by about 15 minutes because my daughter could not manage the heat. I think it would be prudent to check the temperatures that your staff are working in and at least provide a fan for customers that are paying for a session. This is why I would give the experience 4 stars, it was definitely let down by an unsuitable environment, however the teacher could not have done more.
  • 5/5 from Amy, attended Jan 2024: Val was extremely helpful and was able to help me learn the crochet stitch I was struggling with. I would definitely recommend the workshop for friendly informative guidance
  • 5/5 from Jean Bissett, attended Oct 2023: Great instructor (val) clear instructions and demonstrations. Gave me a worksheet to help practice at home Definitely recommend
